We were up far too late last night watching the sunset from the roof of the cabin. This far north it doesn’t get dark till well gone 11pm and then it starts getting light early. Haugesund

The centre of this town is quite literally the port wharf. Where there used to be bustling fishing and cargo boats, now bob small ferries and yachts. The cobbles from yesteryear either replaced, or pressure-washed of all history, face the water. And the tall and impressive warehouse buildings now gentrified, painted neatly with glass fronted bars and restaurants.

Aberdunant Welsh Roads

After a far more stressful weekend than I deserved, we are off to Wales again on the bikes. Now I’ve graduated to ‘Fair Weather Rider’ from ‘Only Method Of Transport’, we don’t ever go out unless it’s looking pristine. This is why I was surprised Aimi wanted to ride in the rain. Usually she’s reluctant unless the weather porridge is just right… but this trip she WANTS to ride in the rain! I’m not about to dissuade her, I’m hoping she will come to Dragon Rally next year.
