Well we are ploughing thru money wayyyy faster than expected. Thailand is not as cheap as you’d expect… well not in the touristy expensive parts, which I guess is not that surprising after all. So while this is our honeymoon and some minimum level of comfort is required, we might need to curb some expenses and choose things a little more carefully.

What a great night! There is no waiting around in pubs for the clubs to get “good” at midnight, like in the UK. Here, everything kicks off at 7pm as soon as the sun sets. So when we got in at about 2am, that had been a great but long night partying. The beach was still in full swing but we were fucked.

This morning we committed to a lazy day, knowing this evening was going to be a big party.

We had kept it a quiet one last night. Not the “let’s just have a quiet one” after work on a Friday. That never ends up being either quiet or just one. We had had a long day and so just a few beers and a stroll before bed was nice. This meant we were up comparatively early, for Haad Rin, and could go exploring today.

Is it already time to leave Bangkok? We have done so much it feels like we have been here a week, not just 3 days. Cherry got us a local priced taxi. 250B to DMK airport, made the 10 min tuktuk ride last night for 200B feel expensive. Ah well, tourist tax. 

Its a good job the hostel hostess is nice and happy to share her lychee with us. The fruit vendor down the street sold me rancid pineapple for breakfast. Clearly I’m not tanned enough to pass as a local yet. Aimi had more luck with these sweet rice cake things, we will be having them again.

I hope I get used to this heat. My word, its sticky. My whole body is just coated and stuck to every other part of my body. I don’t remember it being this hot last time i was here,  but that was the other end of the year, the dry season. We are here during rainy season. Might as well be called sweaty season!
