For the first time in about 3 years I went to the dentist and luckily – presumably due to good brushing technique – I don’t have any major problems. I just need to book a hygienist appointment.

So I did

Mere hours before our flight to Turkey

Last day started with checking the hire car docs. We didn’t have to give it back till the same hour we are supposed to take off at the airport. This means we have most of the day to mooch our way over to Verona, and get a small amount of sight seeing in before leaving.

Me: We went to Italy and walked up hills.

You: What… for fun?

Me: Yes

You: … All week?

Me: Yes

Tres Cime De Lavaredo

This morning we were not going to be denied our target climb. We bounded out of bed early like postmen on speed. Gobbled up some scrambled eggs on toast, and were out of the house before 0715.

Then we had to scrape ice off the car windshield for 10 mins with a credit card…

Rest Day Run

We are off to another Via Ferrata today on Tres Cime De Lavaredo. We did not need to be super energetic this morning because we aren’t catching a cable car. A leisurely breakfast of spicy beans n eggs by Scott set us up nicely. The nice drive thru Cortina and up into the mountains was going great, but when we arrived at the road to the pass, it was shut!
