Me: We went to Italy and walked up hills.

You: What… for fun?

Me: Yes

You: … All week?

This morning we were not going to be denied our target climb. We bounded out of bed early like postmen on speed. Gobbled up some scrambled eggs on toast, and were out of the house before 0715. 

Then we had to scrape ice off the car windshield for 10 mins with a credit card…

We are off to another Via Ferrata today on Tres Cime De Lavaredo. We did not need to be super energetic this morning because we aren’t catching a cable car. A leisurely breakfast of spicy beans n eggs by Scott set us up nicely. The nice drive thru Cortina and up into the mountains was going great, but when we arrived at the road to the pass, it was shut!

After our super relaxing (ahem) rest day, we were back on the Via Ferrata at Brigata Tridentina. Setting off early, we had an hour of hair pin bends followed by a 10 mins walk-in to the crag – epic adventurer’s we are…

Today is a rest day. After blasting out the gate straight up an all day Via Ferrata, today we were a bit sore and tired. So we decided to go for a short 5 hour walk aiming for a lake…

Embracing the mediterranean, we had a simple breakfast of boiled eggs, tomatoes and salami with coffee before heading out to our first Via Ferrata of the holiday.

Beer at 3am? 

Sure why not, we are on holiday!
