Have you ever had that feeling while you are asleep that you are missing something? Feeling late, but still asleep so you don’t know if you should take the feeling seriously and act on it, or just enjoy the dream-state washing over you?

Digital Nomad – Wikipedia Definition
A type of people who use telecommunications technologies to earn a living and, more generally, conduct their life in a nomadic manner. Such workers often work remotely from foreign countries, coffee shops, public libraries, co-working spaces, or recreational vehicles.
The idea has evolved from the business world where you would see company executives carting around laptops the size of briefcases and working in bars and cafes. These pioneers didn’t even realise they were the path-forgers of the future, creating a whole new world of work. Its now filtered down to the individual level because of advances and miniaturization of technology and readily available access to the internet.

The Taxi driver pulled up outside the house that had booked, there were no lights on, not a whisper of movement could be seen. He waited… expecting a flurry of movement when the alarm rose his early morning fare. Settling in for a while, he enjoyed a respite from the drunken masses demanding pizza and showing off in front of the loose women they had caught that night. Usually he would have been dropping people off at 4am in this deserted street, not picking them up.
A sharp rap on the window shocked him from his stupor. It must have looked like I appeared out of nowhere. I hadn’t come from the house he was watching lackadaisically, I was sleeping in the van behind him. I had parked up at a friends house a mile or so from the airport so my taxi ride was as cheap as possible. It was a bit strange ordering a taxi to a house that wasn’t being used, but it was totally worth it for the look on the drivers face at my sudden appearance! Continue reading Buttons Croatian Wedding
Wallpaper, Where Am I?
Due to the unique way I choose to live my life, I am now moving into my van full time. It’s something I’ve wanted to do since I read Vandogs blog and I’m super excited to give it a go! This means the little bits and pieces that I’ve put up with being not quite finished need to be done, and soon!
Giant Learning To Dance
One of my personal ambitions for this year is to learn to dance. It’s been on my list for a while and for one reason or another I have just not given it any time. A friend of mine, lets call him Phil, has danced for many years. He’s tried to get me to do it before with all the usual incentives;
- You’ll be great
- There are loads of hot women
- Its great exercise
- Gives us a chance to hang out
- Its cheaper than a night at the pub
- Women always love a guy that can dance
- It builds great confidence
And while all these things are true it’s just never reached levels of interest that produced any action.
Van Goals
I’ve got a motorbike, a big one. I’ve had it for MANY years and occasionally it breaks down. When it breaks down its a ball-ache to push to a garage. So, one of the reasons for owning the Van is to move the bike when this happens.
Right Swipe
The advance of technology has changed most aspects of our lives. From the sci-fi screen of Star Trek came the automatic sliding door and handheld communicator proving that basically, whatever we dream up, we can make a reality. So it shouldn’t be a surprise technology would find its way into our romantic lives.
Landed In Grey
Whooshing along the raised metro, I could see the lights of the airport approaching. Like the crescendo of the penultimate notes of a symphony, they grew brighter and bigger, the rumblings of planes adding voluminous bass to the finish. A single tone and a long tirade of Thai announced our arrival. I disembarked from the rollercoaster I had been on for the last 2 months into the alien yet familiar surroundings of an international airport – they all look the same.
Last Day V2.0
This was an extra day in Bangkok I hadn’t planned, or budgeted for. The last of my baht had been swallowed up by the high reaching tower of high society. The few notes I had left were just enough to get me some breakfast, lunch and a train ticket to the airport.
