The day of reckoning had arrived. Facebook ad’s posted. Event showing people coming from as far away as Germany. Prizes were organised and winners cup engraved. The race gates were positioned, LEDs illuminated. Laptop set up with a records spreadsheet (because as cool as I am, I can’t resist a good spreadsheet). The first contestants lined up on 4 stools at one end of the bar. Armed, and props spinning, they waited for the countdown to start the first race. The buzzer sounded and they zipped off the line…!

Tiny Whoops Pt.2
I was hooked… No doubt
But I had no idea what I was doing. The Whoop I’d bought (Blade Inductrix FPV) was WAAAAYYYYYYYY older than I realised. The sport had progressed so far in just a couple years and I was late catching the train. Still… I had a basic whoop and it flew ok and gave me an FPV experience.
No Sale
Well its been a year now and still no luck selling the Ducati.

Ever since I was a little kid I’ve enjoyed making stuff. My lego obsession was evidence of that enough. Evidence that filled entire wardrobes and emptied entire bank accounts… But another that went fairly unsated was the enjoyment gained from remote control vehicles. I only ever had a few of them but they tickled an itch that nothing else could scratch.
Legroom
Not much planned for today, basically just packed and then sat by the pool. It was the only time, for the whole holiday, I really got to do nothing. I’ve no idea how people do it… Its frikin hot sitting around in the sun! It took me about 5 minutes before I was roasting hot and had to jump into the pool.
Trad Breakfast Trad Beach
Our chance encounter with Gen and Harry meant we were doing lots more on our holiday than we probably would have otherwise. This holiday had planned to be about 50/50 tours, excursions and activities to lazing around by the pool getting a tan and drinking.
I know I would have gotten bored just laying around, its not my normal state of being. But I had kinda wanted to get bored, so I could find out what it was like to go on a holiday to get bored…. Guaranteed as soon as I WAS bored, I would have collared the TUI rep and booked more stuff to do… but that’s not the point.
Ghost Village Escape
Today’s tour started by driving back up the hill we had taken to The Olive Garden yesterday… I wasn’t best impressed, but we had booked this tour to see the ghost village so stuck with it while the bus stopped at several laybys for photo stops… Everyone piled out and had a go at taking a better photo than the one they had seen in the brochure when booking the holiday…
Infinity Olives
Gen, Harry, Mum, Dad, Grandad and Great Auntie (say that three times fast) had rented a villa in Hisaronu, just up the road from our hotel. With a private pool, newly built and close to town, it was very nice. Harry and I jumped in and fully flooded the patio chasing each other around on the floats. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool for long however, the sky clouded over and threatened a dreary day.
Return To Diving
I had to lie a bit.. But I did manage to get Genevieve to turn up to an appointment early. Our transfer was at 8.20 am. So I told Harry it was at 8.00 am. And he told Gen they had to leave their apartment that’s 20 mins away, at 7.00 am. Finally, we have found the winning formula!
Dalyan Discovery Day
For what is supposed to be a relaxing holiday, today was very busy. So much stuff packed into one day!
