Probably one of my first “Blog Posts” was actually a document I created on Facebook, way back in March 2011. So, other than correcting my terrible grammar, here is it:

The Best Middle Of The Day
Well what a spectacular way to end a holiday!
In hindsight it started with a bad omen so i should have known… Having stayed in the van in a car park, there aren’t any readily available services. Now… I get asked a lot, how I go to the loo in the van without a toilet. And today, the lack thereof, caused some serious faffing about.
Strolling on the Seabed
We just so happen to be near one of the places in the UK I’ve wanted to visit for a while, without even realising it.
Sea Snails, Sand Stages and Celebrations
Today we awoke and enjoyed the luxury of a lay in with access to a toilet and cooking facilities all without having to dismantle the bed… Perfect!
Paths and Pasties
Waking up in a new place is always fun, especially when you arrive in the pitch black. All we could see vaguely through the mist were the solid black stone walls of the remaining pump house. They looked so sinister last night but this morning, they are just the head stones of industry gone by. The last reminder of how busy this coastline used to be. Thinking about it, people must have walked for miles to come to work here. There aren’t any houses around here where people would have lived.
Mattresses, Medicals and Motorways
Is been a stressful and busy couple months recently. Some property maintenance bits and bobs, builders quotes for another job, filling rooms, Nana dieing, starting a new meetup (more about this in another blog) taking part in a drug trial and trying to see friends and maintain and support a relationship. It’s all gotten a bit much and was brought to my attention by the doctors when they reviewed my blood pressure readings.
Pleasure Boating
While, very pretty, the pass we stayed at the top of, was very windy in the night and a bit cold. Nothing a good egg sarnie and a cup of tea couldn’t fix.
Dodgy Tree & Rocks Canoeing
Beatrix Potter The Lion And The Lamb
This morning was standard touristy as Emily and Aimi went to visit the home of Beatrix Potter. She wrote the Peter Rabbit books, which were so successful and earned her so much fame and fortune that she bought and protected many areas of the Lake District. These were almost exclusively given to the National Trust and now make up a large part of the Lake District National Park preserving the landscape for generations.
Bleaberry High Seat
Today I needed to crack on with some work. Being a digital nomad is great, but sometimes you do have to just sit down and plough through work to actually get anywhere. This is fine when everyone is at work day to day, they aren’t there to interrupt or distract. But working for yourself means that unlike them, you can’t just leave the phones and emails at work for a week while you go on holiday. Today I had to get some key things done and needed reliable internet to do this – something the campsite was seriously lacking.
